The Original Secret Avengers

  

 

Long before Iron Man, Thor, Ant Man, The Wasp, and The Hulk got together, across the pond schoolgirls were dressing up in robes and sneaking about under the name of The Secret Avengers!

 

Published in 1957, this story may in fact be a rewrite of the initial adventure of The Silent Three, another group of schoolgirls who dressed up in robes and sneaked about, except their robes were bright green.

Mister Doom

 I was reading the recent Challenges of Doom: Mr Fantastic issue #1, which retells the origin of Doctor Doom and I was reminded that Victor got kicked out of university before he finished his degree. He never actually earned his doctorate. 

Sure, there are plenty of ways he could have obtained the qualification. There are diploma mills that let you substitute all that effort and hard work with a big wodge of cash. And there are plenty of institutes that I'm sure would be delighted to give him an honorary degree. I expect the university of Latveria awards him a new one every year. 

But deep down, he'd have to know. He's not a real doctor.
